Charities

At Barts and the London Cricket Club we believe raising money for charity and giving back to the community is very important and as a club, we strive to do our bit and instil this within our players.

Movember

A charity that is very close to all our hearts is Movember. In a bid to raise money for them, we run an annual event which involves the growing of moustaches during the month of November to raise awareness of men's health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and men's suicide. Further to this, we host a Mo-Ment and many of our members run 60km in the month, with every 10km representing a year of life men are missing out on. Last year we raised over £200 for the charity through all our efforts.

NHS staff are on the front line in the fight again COVID-19. They're going the extra mile, every day, to take care of us and our loved ones despite being under extreme pressure. We believe they need our support now more than ever. That's why we're fundraising for Barts Charity by walking, running or cycling the distance from Lands End to John o’ Groats, the two extremities in the southwest and northeast, covering 1407km in just 14 days. They are committed to doing everything they can to help the NHS staff at Nightingale London, St Bartholomew's, The Royal London, Mile End, Whipps Cross and Newham Hospitals by providing emergency funds to help hospital staff cope with the challenges they're facing.

You can track our progress below, on our instagram and help us by donating here

In the coming year we aim to do more for charity by hosting our first inter-hospital cricket competition.
